It was International Women’s Day
yesterday and our Supertron team celebrated the day by giving goody boxes to
each of our female employees in the office. You can see a picture of most of
our female team members here.
The new millennium has witnessed
a significant change and attitudinal shift in both women’s and society’s
thoughts about women. We do have female astronauts and prime ministers, more women
in the boardrooms, greater equality in legislative rights, and more importantly
women’s visibility as impressive role models in every aspect of life. And we
are having the same prospect here at Supertron.
March 8th 2018 marks over 100
years since the first International Women’s Day. It’s always been a big day on
our calendar, but this year, it feels particularly important to come together.
The global Women’s Marches that happened in January showed the world what we
already knew. Women are bold, brave and engaging in collective action against
injustice – just as they always have. So we celebrated Women's Day at Supertron
by paying special goody boxes to the women in action and the men thanked them
for being there and making it easier for them to work when they are around.
The CEO, Project manager and
other employees handed over the box to their colleagues and the evening was
celebrated with snacks for everyone. It was a day to be remembered as the token
of appreciation towards the contribution of the women.
